Job Description

Savant, a global Oracle Applications partner, is currently looking to add talented Oracle Application DBA Consultants to our growing Oracle Services consulting team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-5 years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA.

Candidates must have 2-5 years of Oracle Applications experience with at least one full life cycle Oracle R11i implementation/upgrade project completion in an Applications DBA role. Previous consulting experience is a plus.

Skills Required

Knowledge in underlying Oracle Applications database architecture - schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints is a must.

Deep skills in Application DBA activities like patching, cloning, installation, trouble shooting, performance tuning.

Expert level skills in Oracle 9i, 10g.

Experience in operating systems:  Solaris, AIX, HPUX, and Linux.

Experience in Real Application Clusters, DataGuard, ASM, Architecture, Performance Tuning etc,. is an added advantage.

Must have experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle Services Requests (TAR's).

Plain vanilla DBA experience is a plus.

Must have very good spoken and written communication skills.

Implement, Upgrade and/or Maintain Oracle Application solutions to our clients.
